  1. Hello,
I know it’s super close to the holidays, and I’m normally not the type to ask for any kind of help what so ever because I know there are people that are in worse situations than I am. However I feel as though I have hit rock bottom. Just know as I’m typing this to you the tears are flowing and my heart aches. I am currently homeless and have nowhere that I can stay. I have no friends that can help me and a very small family. I was in a very abusive relationship for 15 years, I left the guy a year and a half ago thinking life would be so much brighter. However it seems like every curve ball that can be thrown at me is being thrown super fast. It has been super cold out for the past two nights and I would just like a warm place to sleep for a night or two. I’ve already called the shelters and they told me they are full and have no empty beds. I am on a waiting list for community action and family services to get some type of housing. I have no money however I do have a job. I just started on Saturday. I won’t get my first pay for two weeks though. The next best option I could think of is a motel room. However I do not have the money to cover a room at this moment. (The cheapest place I found was Cedar Grove in Greenwood) I called 211 as the shelter advised me and the lady I spoke with had mentioned to me to reach out to some local churches as some may be willing to help me in my time of need so I figured to start by messaging you. If the church could help me with just a couple nights in a motel room I would be forever grateful and I would appreciate it so much. If not I completely understand. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon…have a blessed day.

    Sincerely,
    Sonya Crotsley
My phone number is (814)505-6920 if it would be easier to call me. Thank you again.
